Our Credentials
YES Surgery Centre is fully accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. In September 2017 the facility underwent a rigorous onsite inspection and subsequently received the maximum four year accreditation renewal.
Opening in 2014, YES Surgery Centre is one of the few ambulatory surgery centres that meets current CSA standards for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. These National standards improve the safety of patients and staff working in health care environments. Specifically, these design standards assist with reducing the risks of surgical site infections and transmission of infectious diseases. These standards are maintained in all patient care, surgical instrument reprocessing and sterile supply locations. The requirement to meet these standards was mandated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC in 2013. Despite this the vast majority of private ambulatory surgical facilities do not meet these standards.
YES Surgery Centre was created and is maintained in a manner to focus on the unique needs of ambulatory Plastic Surgery patients. Patients enjoy the personalized and private care delivered by our dedicated Registered Nurses and Royal College Certified Plastic Surgeons and Anesthesiologists.
YES Surgery Centres operating rooms, post anesthetic recovery room, medical device reprocessing and other patient care areas all are maintained to the highest standards.
YES Surgery Centre has an independent Emergency Generator system that maintains all essential services to ensure patient safety in the event of a power outage. While some “accredited ambulatory surgery centres” rely on temporary battery systems for emergency back-up power, YES Surgery Centre will remain fully operational for up to 72 hours in the event of an emergency power outage. This is just one of many systems in place to assure our patients safety.

Information for Physicians and Surgeons
At YES Surgery Center we are focused on providing safe, confidential and patient focussed ambulatory surgical care.
With over 2400 square feet, YES Surgery Centre has two fully equipped operating rooms. Our patient recovery area is accredited for up to a 24 hour stay when additional monitoring for the patient’s first night after surgery is recommended. We have a private entrance exit and professional reception area to ensure patient’s feel comfortable and relaxed.
